ILL and Document Delivery
Document Delivery is a service offered by the ILL team, where they will scan articles or book chapters, up to 50 pages, or microforms up to 30 pages, and send them to you. This service is for items owned by K-State Libraries. Plan on 5-7 days for pdf scans to arrive.
InterLibrary Loan, ILL, is a service that allows faculty, staff, and students to request articles and books that are either checked out or not owned by K-State Libraries. This service is generally free of charge, in the rare case where there will be a cost the library will contact you to see if you still want the item. Turn around varies, but generally books arrive in 3-10 days and pdf articles arrive in 2-5 days.
Distance Students can use both of these services but ILL requests will be mailed to your office or home. This includes students who may be completing their field experience outside of Manhattan and want materials sent to them. Students are responsible for any return postage of physical materials. For document delivery allow for 4-12 days. For ILL requests allow for 6-17 days for physical items.
